Tanya Toft is a curator, writer, researcher and lecturer on urban digital art and its critical role in the urban public domain. As a curator she has been involved with the curatorial programming of the SESI Digital Gallery in Sao Paulo since 2013, including co-curating the SP Urban Digital Festival in 2013 and 2014 with Marília Pasculli, and exhibitions curated with Nina Colosi for The Streaming Museum since 2012, including the traveling moving image exhibition Nordic Outbreak in New York City and across the Nordic region, which she initiated and directed. In 2015 she is curating Voyage to the Virtual at Scandinavia House, NY. She is Associate Curator of Streaming Museum, curatorial advisor for Verve Cultural (Brazil), and a frequent speaker on urban media aesthetics and urban digital art. Toft is a Ph.D. Fellow at Copenhagen University and holds a double MA in Media Studies from The New School, and in Modern Culture/Urbanity and Aesthetics from Copenhagen University.
